2. How we use your information
- To match seekers with relevant job listings.
- To display seeker profiles to employers (for applied jobs only).
- To send transactional emails (welcome, approval, shortlist, rejection).
- To send weekly job alert digests (seekers can opt out).
- To improve platform functionality and user experience.
- To prevent fraud and enforce our terms.
- For internal analytics (aggregated, not individual).
3. Who we share your information with

4. Data retention
- Account data: kept as long as your account is active.
- Deleted accounts: data removed within 30 days.
- Application history: kept for 12 months after the job closes.
- Activity logs: kept for 6 months.
- Email notification logs: kept for 3 months.
5. Cookies
- We use only essential session cookies (
PHPSESSID) to keep you logged in.
- We use a preference cookie (
cookie_consent) to remember your banner dismissal.
- We do not use tracking cookies, analytics cookies, or advertising cookies.
- No third-party cookies are set by our platform.
6. Your rights
- Access: you can view all your data from your profile page.
- Correction: you can edit your profile anytime.
- Deletion: you can request account deletion by contacting support.
- Data export: contact support to receive a copy of your data.
- Opt out of emails: toggle job alerts off from your profile settings.
7. Security
- Passwords are hashed using industry-standard bcrypt.
- All connections use HTTPS encryption.
- Session timeout after 1 hour of inactivity.
- Rate limiting on login attempts (5 tries, 15-minute lockout).
- CSRF protection on all forms.
8. Children
This platform is not intended for anyone under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Significant changes will be communicated via email or site announcement. The last-updated date is always shown at the top.
